Green & Local
The Lowell Parks & Conservation Commission is a private, non-profit group that is responsible for conserving our urban green spaces & forests. If you are interested in volunteering, they are in need of land stewards, people who spend a half hour or so each month observing an assigned green space for litter, recreation opportunities, invasive species, and general upkeep.
Mill No. 5 is a hip new shopping destination in Lowell. Housed in an old mill building, the bazaar appears to be an old street market. Local artisans and craftsman come on Saturdays to sell their wares. There is no shortage of delicious food and good coffee either. There is also an indie movie theater called the Luna Theater. They play indie movies while you sit in big comfortable leather chairs eating homemade popcorn.

The revolving show is coupled with the regulars of the gallery. Much of the art centers on Lowell, bringing a unique and modern outlook on the city.
